Most Recent Donation Project Linda asked members for star blocks to make a quilt for veterans. She finished the quilt - and it was BEAUTIFUL! - and donated it to Quilts Of Valor. A note Linda received stated: "Wow - it is just beautiful and was well loved by those who viewed it. Sue then took the quilt and immediately hung it in the show - that's the picture attached. I asked who the quilt might be given to, and she, Catherine, and Marianne all agreed that because it is one of the smaller ones, they will give it to a woman at Great Lakes." Great quilt, Linda - congratulations!! |

QC would like a volunteer for Service Chair. This person would research organizations asking for donations and recommending organizations for our donations. |
We have donated quilts to: * Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota * Lydia Home, Chicago * Project Linus, Chicago area * New Moms, Chicago * St. Jude Hospital, Tennessee * Public and Parochial schools in the Chicago area * Childrens' Advocacy Center * Harmony House Assisted living / Rehabilitation * Jesse Brown VA Hospital We have provided other support to * Women in sewing businesses in Nigeria * Women in Haiti Presented six quilt shows in our community. |
